Thought of the Day.....Choice

"We can let the circumstances of our lives harden us so that we become increasingly resentful and afraid, or we can let them soften us, and make us kinder.
We always have the choice."
- Tenzin Gyatso, The 14th Dalai Lama

This reminds me of a story I heard at work. The story actually highlights three choices using an analogy of boiling water. Will you be carrots, eggs, or coffee? Carrots go into the adversity (boiling water) as hard objects and come out soft and mushy, eggs go in very fragile and come out hard. Coffee goes into the water and doesn't change itself, but changes the boiling water and makes it better. Something to ponder... do you want to be carrots, eggs, or coffee? You can choose!
