Mals was at the Jr. High dance, so I cleaned out her pumpkin so she could carve as soon as she got home. What a lonely pumpkin....
Now our porch will be all spooky for Halloween!
And where am I during all the carving.....
GO PHILLIES!

I have decided the only thing I dislike (hate is such a strong word) more than the Yankees is MANNY RAMIREZ!!!! It was such a joy to watch the Dodgers (Mostly Manny) go down in FLAMES!!!
Slink back to the hole you crawled out of Manny! I am so glad I don't have to watch your ugly face through the World Series! (too harsh??)
Great Job Phillies! I'm rooting for you! Win two in a row! Make those Yankees CRY!

Everyone seems to be panicking about the swine flu! All I know is I DON"T WANT IT! So, how is a person to know if they really have H1N1, the common cold, or some other flu? Are you wondering what exactly the symptoms of H1N1 are? The symptoms of H1N1 are:
Fever – particularly a fever of over 100 degrees (can reach 105 degrees)
Sore throat
Dry cough
Chills and severe fatigue
Severe body aches (emphasis on severe)
Headache
Vomiting and diarrhea
The only way to know for sure if you have H1N1 is to be tested by your physician. So, go to the doctor!
The common cold may have similar symptoms and can last three to five days. They are:
Stuffy nose
Congestion
Some body aches
A growing cough
Let's just be informed, focus on prevention....and do not panic! Remember-Wash your hands often and cover your mouth with your elbow when you sneeze. If you already have the flu, please stay away from others. Stay home for at least 24 hours after the fever breaks, and make sure you drink lots of fluids to prevent dehydration.
And that's all I have to say about that! Have a great H1N1 free week!

Girls Day 2009 was a blast! We spent the night in a condo in Park City (Thanks Mom!) and just enjoyed being together! Sani couldn't make it because she had to work (We missed you Sani!). We looked at pictures from Girls Days of the past. Mel shared with us her homemade salsa and jam-YUM! Angie and Maren shared special thoughts about the birth of their babies and feelings about being moms! Jen made us all "Mom Survival Kits". Marianne treated us to facials....And best of all...Mom reminded us of our great trip to Hawaii while she strutted around in her bikini!
SISTERS! Now and Forever!
No matter where I go....There you'll be!

Well, the MLB Division Series are almost over...It was a sad weekend of baseball in my house! The only series that hasn't been a three game sweep is Rockies vs. Phillies! Those boys of summer braved the cold of Colorado and played a game worth watching! The temperature dipped into the 20's!!!!! Game 4 of the series is tonight at 6:07 PM (ET) on TBS....
But for the Red Sox the season is over and I am sad...

So, I feel like I am ready to fall off the NO SHOPPING wagon. It has only been a month since I penned my lofty goal but today is "Girls Day" and we are going to Park City......eek! I am hanging over the edge of the wagon bed my friends, and I feel myself falling over the side. Sisters + Park City = SHOPPING! I think I will ask Jared for a weekend pass....It is a special occassion afterall. Mel is here from Seattle and we shop together over the phone quite a bit. Long distance shopping is quite a blast but now we have a chance to shop together in person! Wha Hoo! How can I resist?
While we are on the subject of shopping, I must admit I have purchased some accessories for my work wardrobe (but not too much). Thanks to the Fresh Pearl, I have a new necklace and some awesome earrings that I got for a great deal! Thanks Maren! Anyway, I am not convinced that accessories count as "work clothes" anyway.
I am becoming a very good WINDOW shopper and more budget conscious than ever, so you just never know. I will report back on Monday and let you know how I do!

Last night we took the kids to get pumpkins from the good 'ol pumpkin patch! It was a hoot! Between Mals looking for the biggest pumpkin of all to Gracie and Isabelle running up and down the field...I think everyone had a good time!
You would think they would let me get a nice picture.....but NOOOOO! Oh Brother!!! Halloween is on its way!
