A Week in Paradise

Well, our week in paradise is over.....and it's time to get back to reality.....Boo Hoo! We had a great time! The humidity was harsh and the time change was hard on our bodies but it was all worth it!

It was beautiful!

By the way...I have decided that the best way to fly is DEAD TIRED...that way I don't know what is going on!

This time tomorrow...

Well, this time tomorrow we will be in the airport ready to board the plane to HAWAII! This morning I lay in bed wishing it was already tomorrow, then it dawned on me [in a powerful way]...I have to get on a plane tomorrow!

Why does Hawaii have to be across the ocean? I HATE TO FLY! I know it seems silly but I have a serious fear of flying! My rational mind tells me there is nothing to be afraid of....yet I am still SCARED! Once I pass the security check my heart starts pounding, it is hard to breathe, and my stomach starts to do cartwheels! It is ridiculous! I am such a baby!

So, I looked up the official name for my "phobia" and it actually has FOUR names. Oh Brother! Aerophobia, Aviatophobia, Aviophobia or Pteromechanophobia! Geez! And did you know that other phobias may contribute to the fear of flying...claustrophobia (a fear of enclosed spaces) and acropobia (a fear of heights). It is all making sense now.....I hate tight spaces and heights! So, if you put me in an enclosed tube with wings and take it into the air what do you get??? PANIC in the airport!

But Jared has promised to hold my hand and make sure I get to Hawaii in one piece! Just in case though....Does anyone have any spare XANAX?

The faces we will miss...

Well, we fly off to paradise in three days! Yes, two days! WHA HOO! We have been busily preparing to leave...my feet have been buffed, our clothes are ready to pack, the last of the laundry has been done. I think we are just about ready! Even though this is a much needed vacation full of "ALONE TIME", I can't help but think of four faces that we will miss terribly![...well at least by the end of the vacation]

CONCENTRATION...

Okay, so the Nielsen clan is leaving for Hawaii in SIX days! And I can't CONCENTRATE!!!

I have so much work to do before Tuesday gets here...But all I can think about is setting foot on that lovely little tropical island in the Pacific! And time seems to be creeping...

I need to either figure out a way to make time go by faster......OR figure out a way to keep my mind on what needs to be done! It is so hard to BE IN THE MOMENT right now!

I've gotta, gotta, gotta get my head in the game!

So much to do......
