There's a hole is the backyard, dear Liza, a hole!

Wha Hoo! The addition to the house has been started! There are two large holes in the backyard (for the footings). I am so excited! I can't wait to see the walls start going up! It's another reason to hope for an early spring!

I'm ready!

I know it is still February but I am ready for FLIP FLOP season! My feet have been cooped up in socks and shoes for months now and they are ready to break free! They are aching to feel the warm breezes of summer blow between them! Hurry warm weather....I am waiting for you!

I'm Addicted!!!!!!!

I hate to admit it but I am addicted! Not to a drug or the computer or some other unmentionable practice! It's simply....

I can't get enough of this TV series! Dr. Gregory House (rude, antisocial, unconventional, brilliant) and his team of understudy doctors unravel the most bizzare medical mysteries! I was home alone last night and instead of reading I watched three (yes, three) exciting episodes! Today I discovered I can watch past seasons on-line on Fox.com. Happy-Happy-Joy-Joy! How Fox landed such a great show, I will never know!

I know it's been a day or two.....

I know I haven't blogged for a few days but I am still here. All is well at the M-J home. The work in the kitchen is done! I'm sorry I haven't posted any pictures yet. They are coming soon! Now we are aching for the rest of the addition to get started.....If only the weather would cooperate.

I am so tired of the cold, wet weather. And to top it off.....As I was walking into work today, my foot was feeling a little damp. What the heck? Riding up the elevator I pulled my shoe off to find out what the problem was...I am sad to announce that my favorite pair of black loafers may be meeting their end. One shoe has cracked right down the middle. I love these shoes! I have tried to find a replacement because they are so old. I have only found disappointment. Whoa is me! I am now starting a quest to find the perfect pair of black loafers....

I'M STARVING

I hate getting my body used to less intake. It's seems crazy I know. I ate all my points the last two days. It's a mind thing. Wish me luck!

It's time.......to lose some weight!

Well, this morning I signed up for Weight Watchers Online. It is time.....past time, in fact, to get healthy again. Jared and I have decided to do the program together. Because I really hate going to the meetings we decided to try the "on-line" version. We have both been successful with the Weight Watchers program in the past so we know we can do it! With just over 4 months until our trip to Hawaii, we are going to have to be committed to losing weight. It will be so nice to feel healthy again! Not to mention the fact that we will look hot on the beach! Wha Hoo!

I just had to share this video that was sent to me today! (Thanks Lisa!) I was so touched by this young man and his testimony of God and Jesus Christ. How many times do we focus on what we don't have or what we have lost? And our Father gave His son for us...He understands! He will always understand!

A long, lost treasure!

The work on the kitchen continues......(I know you must be getting tired of hearing updates but it's our life right now-and it's almost done!). We found a treasure that is a perfect addition to the atmosphere we are trying to create. When I was growing up we had this great old wood burning stove. Now, Jared and I happen to want a wood burning stove for the kitchen. An old one, with lots of character. Wha La!!!! Here it is! After 17+ years, Mom and Dad still have the old stove. It is just what we wanted! Thanks Mom and Dad! And, Jared shows me one more time.....that he can fix anything! From the cold, wet wood shed to the bright, warm kitchen!

The floor is down.....

Our kitchen floor is down! Jared and Brady worked so hard to get it finished. For the next three days the finish work will be completed and we will be able to put the kitchen back together! Hooray! How we are supposed to function for the next three days is a mystery to me but I am sure we will survive. Here are some updated pics.
